Well, that was a very quick week! I hope you all enjoyed a lovely bank holiday weekend.
This week in primary 5 we have been working hard on our fractions topic, and have been learning how to create equivalent fractions and how to add fractions together.
In literacy we have been looking at different letters and analysing what features all letters must have. We then went on to explore the differences between formal and informal letters and created our success criteria for this. Now we are ready to start writing letters next week.
We have been enjoying our new class novel, and have been exploring what it means to be a refugee, and what it might feel like to be a refugee. We also looked at where refugees coming to the UK come from and why they are leaving their own countries.. We look forward to finding out more on this theme, and on the theme of friendship through our novel.
In health and well-being this week we have been looking at the 5 main food groups and identifying what makes a balanced diet. Our focus has been on snacks, and identifying the food groups they tend to belong to, and next week we are really looking forward to planning and making a healthy snack to enjoy.
I hope you have a lovely weekend
