Good afternoon
Well, here we are at the Easter holidays, and the term has just flown by. Fingers crossed the weather heats up a little for the next two weeks.
This week, a big highlight for us was learning how to deal with everyday emergencies. We had such a lot of fun with Lyndsay learning how to do CPR, and how to help someone who is choking. We also learned what to do when someone has a burn or a broken bone. We had great fun using the dummies to practise our skills, and you can see some of the photos and videos on Seesaw.
In ICT we have been very busy creating our animations of scenes from The Wars of Independence. We have had a lot of fun filming the scenes and recording the narration to go with them.
In our project this week we were learning about Scotland’s victory at the Battle of Bannockburn, and learning how careful planning and good thinking allowed Robert the Bruce to win against all the odds.
In Field Good Friday today we were very busy planting vegetables; beans, aubergines, donuts and carrots. These will be grown indoors for a few weeks until they are ready to put outside in our vegetable beds. We look forward to watching them grow, and hopefully sampling the vegetables in the future. It was lovely to finish our term with our Sports Fun-draiser today. The children had lots of fun taking part in the different activities. A great end to a super term in primary 5.

I hope you all have a fun and relaxing holiday.
