The Fairtrade Choconanas have had another very productive, and busy week. This week our focus has been on advertising and selling our products.
Once again our week got off to an excellent start when the Finance Team presented at the Monday Reconnecters, explaining to the school how buying Fairtrade products helps support farmers and workers in other countries to have a better lifestyle, and encouraging the children to come and buy our Fairtrade goods.
Our tuck shop has been a big highlight of our week, and the children have worked really well in teams selling at the stall. The finance team have also been busy counting the profits each day. The team work and effort from the children throughout this Enterprise topic has been absolutely fantastic.
We finished our week by playing The Enterprise Game – a board game where the children have to show their understanding of how running a business works. They have to make important business decisions, and avoid becoming bankrupt! The children all engaged really well with this, and learned a lot from the experience.
On Wednesday we all enjoyed watching the online pantomime of Cinderella – oh, yes we did!  All the usual pantomime fun was had – the jokes, the singing and the shouting at the characters. This was followed by our festive Christmas lunch. The dinner ladies did a fantastic job with the food, and the hall had a wonderful festive atmosphere with Christmas music, Christmas jumpers, crackers, hats and the buzz of happy children.
We ended the week on a high with our Christmas party, which is always a highlight of the year. They all looked amazing in their party outfits and Christmas jumpers, and had lots of fun dancing, and playing a whole range of traditional, and silly party games. What a way to end a very busy, but fun week!
I hope you have a lovely weekend. Stay safe, and take care,
Mrs Haddow
