What a lovely first week back together we have had. It has been wonderful to have the children all together, and to see them back with their friends and peers. I think one of the most wonderful sounds has to be that of children outside playing and having fun. After everything being so quiet for so long that has been such a fantastic sound to hear this week.
The children have all settled back in to the routine so well. We have had a focus on literacy, numeracy and health and well-being this week, and we have been engaging in lots of active learning activities to allow the children to socialise as much as we can. We have managed to have a number of lessons oudoors, and I have posted some photos on Seesaw to allow you to see how happy and settled they seem to be.
In our learning we have continued on from what we were doing in home learning. We have developed our skills in telling and writing the time, and in writing we created some fun Limericks for St. Patrick's Day as part of our poetry writing topic. We are also working hard to finish all the reading books that we had started before Christmas so that we can start new books after Easter,
Today has been a lovely end to the week with Red Nose Day. We have enjoyed a day of fun learning activities, and linked this in to the Superhero theme we have running for this two weeks. After all your children and you have all been superheroes this term!
Have a lovely, fun weekend,
Mrs Haddow
