Well the weeks are just flying in just now, and we are keeping very busy in Primary 5. We had lots of fun at our party on Tuesday afternoon, fillled with dancing, games and refreshments. Our practice of the Dashing White Sergeant paid off with everyone joining in, and Captains on Deck proved a particularly popular game.
This week in science we have been learning about series and parallel circuits - so if your Christmas lights blow there should be some expert advice on hand about why this has happened. In Enterprise we have learned how to play the Enterprise Game, which involves us in running a business and balancing our budgets. It also involves us in making tricky business decisions about when and what to spend money on.We will have an opportunity to play this properly next week, and see if we have developed our Enterprise skills well enough to avoid going bankrupt.
This week we have had a big focus on listening and talking as all of the children have had the opportunity to present the Powerpoints they created on Scottish Inventors in ICT. The children have been peer assessing the Powerpoints and everyone should receive their feedback next week.I have certainly learned a lot of interesting facts listening to their presentations.
There is no homework this week as we head into the last week of term. however you can see a further snapshot of our work in class by visiting our class Blog on Seesaw.
Hope you have a lovely weekend
