My goodness this has been a hectic week. The Eco Elves have been hard at work in order to meet their demanding deadlines, however, I am sure that those of you who were able to attend the Christmas Fair will agree that all their hard work paid off. We were all very proud of our efforts advertising, creating and selling our crafts. Thank you to everyone who supported our stall. It looked like the Christmas Fair was a huge success once again.
Hopefully most of you were presented with a leaflet encouraging you to try to be more eco-friendly this Christmas, and giving you some little tips on how to do this. The children produced these in their writing over the last two weeks. This formed part of our topic on persuasive wriitng and we were focussing on using bossy verbs and rhetorical questions. Well done to our small team of three who presented some of these ideas at the assembly this morning.
In P.E we have been busy practising our Scottish Country dancing for our party next week. Due to the athletics event last week we only have a short time to learn our dance, but so far we have been doing brilliantly.
In Numeracy we have moved on to learning strategies for division. As we see the link between addition and subtraction, we are picking up these strategies quite quickly. Well done to all!
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
