Good Morning. Well it is the end of a very busy week in P5. Eco Elves has definitely shifted up a gear as we work towards our deadlines. The finance group have been working hard on creating a financial plan for the company. They have calculated the costs of producing each item, carried out a consumer survey on prices and made projections regarding our profits. They also delivered a successful presentation to Mrs Howie, securing for us a loan so that we can buy the materials needed for our products. Our advertising team are working to their deadline to design and create posters advertising our products, using the persuasive techniques we have been learning. So far they look amazing, and seem to be working to their deadline. Quality control have been busy ensuring all our products are of an extremely high quality and are developing their problem solving skills in lots of creative ways. Our stall design team have been hard at work working out how best to display our products. They have finalised their designs and are ready to start creating the items needed. All in all, a very busy but successful week.
Yesterday we had a vist from the SPCA and we were learning to code Caitlyn the chicken - a robotic children that the children built. A great time was had by everyone and more pictures of this can be seen on our class blog.
We have now finished our topic on addition, and next week we move on to subtraction and we will be investigating different strategies for this.
Today we are sending a team of primary 5's to the Sportshall Athletics event at Carnegie Sports Centre and we wish them the all the very best in this event.
Have a lovely weekend
