This week P5 have been continuing with their RME topic of 'Community' and have been very busy learning about the Sikh community. We learnt about the 5Ks which stand for kanga, kara, kesh, kirpan and kaccha - very important symbols of the Sikh faith.
Last Friday P5 were very excited to take part in a Science workshop with two employees of 'Young Enterprise Scotland'. We learnt about some of the most important scottish inventions, then we had to choose one and re-design it to make it even better. Once we had our design we came up with a logo and a slogan for it. In the afternoon we had great fun building our prototypes and presenting our inventions to the class. We learned a lot of skills about developing a product and about developing a brand.
In Writing, we have been learning to write persuasive letters. A little bit of practice before we have to write a very important job application next week when we will have to write a formal letter persuading Mrs Haddow that we have the right skills for the job we would like in our Enterprise Company. Fingers crossed we get the job we would like!
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
