Welcome to P5’s weekly update.
It has been an exciting week and we have some fantastic news!
We have just found out our new teacher today. We are very excited to be moving as a whole class to Mr Morgan. On Wednesday, we walked to Duloch Library for a class trip. It was so much fun. We learned what the different images on the sides of the books meant and we had great fun doing a library scavenger hunt.
This week, we enjoyed a set of lessons on outdoor learning with Miss Sharp. We’ve been doing lots of different activities to help us appreciate nature and the outdoors including a water pollution experiment, art using natural materials, a traffic survey and some activities that encouraged us to use our senses outside.
In Maths, we’ve started reading and interpreting data and graphs and, next week we will be collecting and displaying data.
Our animations of the Wars of Independence are available to watch on GLOW, so put your feet up, relax and enjoy!
Finally, the best news of all this week. Yesterday Mrs Howie came to tell us that our persuasive letters were so good that we have managed to persuade her to say yes to us being allowed to have a pyjama/ popcorn party. We are super excited to earn this treat and next week we will plan it with Mrs Haddow.
