Dear parents
Just a quick message to apologise for the muddy shoes/boots your children have returned home with today. We were outdoors this afternoon identifying and surveying the types of trees in our school grounds. I did plan to do this at the end of the day so that if feet got slightly damp then the children would not be sitting with damp feet all day - however I had not thought the field would be quite as muddy as it was.On the plus side, they did have an enjoyable time in the outdoors learning about our native trees. Again, I apologise for the shoe cleaning that will be required.
Can I also just take this opportunity to remind everyone that they should come to school on Mondays and Wednesdays dressed in gym kit and with indoor gym shoes to wear? It appears that outdoors can be a little muddy at times!
