My goodness, what a busy, fun week we have had in Primary 4. Halloween started early for us with the Halloween disco last Friday nght. The children all looked fantastic in their costumes, and enjoyed a noisy and fun filled evening. Many thanks to the PTA for organising this event for the children to enjoy.
The Halloween fun continued on Tuesday. We started by writing the recipes for some weird and wonderful potions and spells to allow us to practise using sequencing sentence starters. The children were very creative, and I was very tempted to try the spell that makes you grow younger! Later in the day we completed our haunted house art by adding cut paper haunted houses to our painted backgrounds  where we had created shades of colour. We then finished with some fun Halloween games and activities.
In Numeracy, we have continued to develop our skills in working with money and are becoming much more confident with this.  We practised making amounts of money using the fewest possible number of coins, and we finished the week by converting between pounds and pence.
We are really looking forward to rounding off our Dunfermline project with our trip next Tuesday morning. We will be walking between the library and the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum, so just a little reminder that all children should wear school uniform and a waterproof jacket for the trip.
I hope you have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Haddow
