Good afternoon
It is so hard to believe that we are entering the last few days of Primary 4. The children have now met their new teachers and their classes for next year, and while there were some disappointments, the children all showed resilience and positivity about the changes ahead. I am sure they will have a great year ahead of them.
This week we have continued to be very busy in our learning. We have been working hard on our information handling, learning how to collect data and display it in bar graphs. We took advantage of the lovely weather to take our learning outdoors to conduct a traffic survey and then created bar graphs from our data. The children were quite astonished at just how many cars travelled along Aberdour Road in the time that we were outside.
In literacy we have been studying the work of Roald Dahl, looking closely at his characterisation and his use of themes in the novels that we have read.
In ICT we were practising our coding skills through playing a variety of coding games. Driving a car safely along a route proved quite a challenge - thank goodness they will not be at the wheel of a car for a few years yet.
Next week, we will be having our turn on the fun inflatables on Monday. Can I please ask that children all come to school in suitable clothing for this, and with plenty of water - it gets very hot inside these!
I hope you have a fun weekend
