Good afternoon
Here we are on the last day of another very busy term. I would like to thank everyone for all the support they have given with all our primary 4 adventures this term as it is always appreciated.
This week we have been very busy planting trees in the school grounds to celebrate the cooronation of King Charles. The children worked so well on this task and I was so proud of their efforts and the fantastic teamwork they showed.
On Tuesday we had the special treat of a performance of creative dance by primary 1/2 and Primary 3. The class all really enjoyed watching these and we were very impressed by their creativity and rhythm.
Today in Primary 4 we celebrated the end of our Romans project with a variety of fun Roman themed activities. We played Merels, a game of strategy played by Roman children. We followed this by watching a short Horrible Histories DVD, tested our catapults in a cube slinging competition, and used our Roman shields to practise marching and making Roman formations in PE.
All in all, we quite liked being Romans for a morning.
Next term our PE days will continue to be a Wednesday and a Thursday, and our outdoor learning will continue on Fridays.
I hope you all have a wonderful spring break, and a lovely Easter when it comes.
See you next term
