Oh my goodness! What a busy week it has been in Primary 4!
Jingles Decorations have been working very hard to meet their deadlines before the Christmas Fair today. Our advertising team designed and made some very eye-catching, attractive posters advertising our tree decorations. You might have spotted some around the school when you visited today! Our Seesaw advertising team put all their persuasive skills into action with their video advert, and if you have wathced it on Seesaw you will see that they did an amazing job! Those on screen and behind the camera! I am sure you will agree that our stall design team did a wonderful job of displaying our decorations and making our stall look appealing to customers. All in all, a very successful enterprise project developing our understanding of the world of work.
Next week we start on a new enterprise topic - The Mystery Crispy Cake Company has already started work. We will be making and selling Fairtrade crispy cakes in school to support Fairtrade and to raise money towards our school trip in June.
WIn numeracy we have been busy little elves learning to measure. We have been measuring using rulers and metre sticks and have been learning about length, width and depth as we measured Christmas parcels.
In writing this week we had a very exciting and important job to do. We all wrote a letter to Mrs Howie and used all our persuasive writing skills to try and persuade her to let us have a snuggle session where we watch the DVD of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in snuggly onesies and with teddies. We all made a huge effort to convince her we deserved such a treat, and we are waiting to hear back from her to see if we are allowed. Fingers, toes and everything crossed we did a good enough job!
Just a little reminder to everyone that next week we have our Christmas Dinner AND our Christmas party on Wednesday14th December.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend ... the excitement is definitely building!
