Good afternoon
It has been another very quick week in Primary 4 as we settle down into the routine and work of Primary 4.

In numeracy, we have been continuing our work on place value where we have been challenging ourselves to add and subtract in 1's, 10's and 100's. We have enjoyed completing activities on the i-Pads, and playing dice games to support this learning.

This week we have also been focusing on our sentence building skills, and looking at uplevelling our sentences by adding in adjectives. We have come up with a great selection of interesting adjectives and we are now working on remembering to write them into our sentences.

Our reading groups are now all up and running and everyone should have brought a reading book home with them with some homework in. These books are due back in class on Monday. ready for next week's reading in class.

We were very excited at the news that Mrs Howie has asked us to organise this years Jeans for Genes Day event in Canmore. This is a big responsibility but we are definitely up for the challenge. We have been thinking about what we need to do to organise this event, and have chosen jobs that we think match our own particular strengths and skills. We are eagerly waiting to see if we get our first or second choice and are excited to get started on working on this next week. This will be a great opportunity to practise the team working skills we have been developing in class over the past two weeks. Look out for more news about this event soon.

We are all looking forward to welcoming parents into our classroom to visit our area and have fun at the PTA fayre next Friday.

Have a lovely weekend
Mrs Haddow
