Good afternoon to you all.

The weeks are going by far too quickly at the moment.

We are continuing to look at place value in our numeracy and have explored the 4 ways to show a number-breaking it down into hundreds, tens and ones. The children are becoming very confident with this skill.

The children are gaining in confidence in using the Comprehension Box to aid developing their comprehension skills.

The children are continuing to use first, second and third letters in alphabetical order and are definitely gaining in confidence to work out which word comes next.

We had really good discussions during Bounce Back where we were looking at feeling lonely or left out. The class were able to come up with some solutions that could help others when they experience these emotions.

We continued to develop rounders/cricket skills for our outdoor PE with an emphasis on working as a team to gain success. It was such a lovely day weather wise. Hopefully we will get more days like that!

Our outdoor learning was very successful. We made picture frames with sticks/twigs and then created a picture which we painted. The children had to use natural resources to make a paint brush. They were so enthusiastic and really created wonderful pictures. I hope you can see them clearly on Seesaw.

For art today, we made a rocking snail and a patterened snail. Hope you like them.

The children know their new teacher for P4 and are going to meet Mrs Haddow on Monday for a 'Meet the Teacher' session. They are quite excited to be going up to the 'big end' of the school.

We are going on a walk to the woods next  Wednesday afternoon (1.20 - 3.00pm). If any one would like to join us on our walk, please let me know. It would be lovely to have you join us.

Have a great weekend.
Miss Shearer
