Good afternoon to you all.

What a busy week we have had! It was so nice to talk to so many families this week and have a catch up. I look forward to talking to the rest of you next Thursday. It is always good to get the chance to share how well your children are developing.

We have been continuing our work on openers and adjectives which all make our writing more exciting for the reader. The children used a picture stimulus that showed various wild animals. They decided if it was taking place in a zoo, safari park ofr trip abroad.

We are continuing to develop our fraction skills in numeracy and I have uploaded some tasks on seesaw that will help to consolidate their learning.

In our reading time, we are using prediction skills to see if we can make an informed guess as to what will happen in the story.

We have completed the Flat Stanley Goes to Egypt book and had fun making up questions that were either true or false.

The children have written their names in heiroglphics and also created a secret message. It was fun to use symbols and pictures instead of our alphabetical letters.

For art, we have completed our sarcophaguses and mummies. I hope you like them. There are a lot of skills in making these items.

The Can a Raw Egg Bounce experiment has been completed. I am sure the children will have enjoyed sharing their findings with you... and yes they can bounce!

I hope you all have a great weekend.
