Good afternoon everyone.

Another week has flown by. It has been nice to have a bit of sunshine, it really does cheer everybody up.

I really enjoyed listening to the children recite their Scots poem. They put lots of effort into learning all the verses and used really good actions and expression. It was really hard to choose 3 finalists to go to Mrs MacIntosh and she shared with me how hard it was to pick one winner. A big congratulations to Sofia Kerr for being chosen as our class winner and a really big well done to our two runner ups, Naia Meach and Owen Tomlinson.

The children have been busy working on 3D shapes. We have discussed the sides, faces and vertices. They have made 3D shapes from nets and have started to make 3D models using lolly sticks and plasticine. They have used their problem solving skills to figure out how to get the model to stand and also used a lot of perseverance. It is good to see them taking on challenges and not give up when things don't always go to plan.

We are looking at our sentence openers and used them to write our Seed Balls instructions. I hope you enjoyed seeing their completed work on Seesaw. The children used their instructions to make the seed balls to take home in preparation for the RSPB Birdwatch this weekend. I will upload some information for you to use on Seesaw.

The children enjoyed making their card birds and were keen to take them home. I hope you like them.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Miss Shearer
