Good afternoon everyone and a warm welcome back to Term 2.
I hope you all enjoyed the October break.
In Maths this week, we have been looking at repeated addition, arrays and equal sets/groups to help us understand our multiplication. We are looking at the x2, x5 and x10 tables. It would be great if the children were able to practise counting in 2's, 5's and 10's to help with their speed when using their tables.
Our Big Writing was using a story starter to create atmosphere. I have some very scary stories to read!
Our project this term is Transport and we have looked at air, land and sea forms of transport. The children have made some lovely drawings of them to make a nice wall display in our area.
We looked at the th sound in words and made sure we know the difference between f and th sounds.
On Tuesday we made magic potions with magic water and the children went and found a variety of resources from our garden to add to the water to make the magic brew work. They had a lot of fun!
I want to share how proud I am of the children for giving their presentations to be our class Eco Rep. They were all absolutely amazing. They showed such confidence and spoke so clearly. I was so impressed with each and every one of them. The class all used their voting slips and gave scores out of three for each of the 3 sections. I would like to congratulate Naia Meach who will be our Eco Rep and also Freya Husband and Kornel Kowalski who are going to be Depute Reps who will assist Naia in the class.
The children looked amazing in their costumes today. We had a really nice fun Halloween themed day.
We made Creepy Wiggly Worms for Science and had a lot of fun watching them squirm!
Have a lovely Halloween weekend.
(Don't forget to change the clocks!)
