Good afternoon to you all.

We have a new boy called Josh in our class. The children have been very welcoming to him and he is settling in very quickly thanks to all of P3.

We are continuing to develop our speed with our x2, x5 and x10 tables, with some of the children working on their x3 and x4 tables. Jack Hartmann is a firm favourite with the class as his videos are very catchy.

We have worked on diagraphs this week - ch, th, sh, - 2 sounds/letters join together to make a new sound.  The children were matching pictures to the words.

We have explored more about trains and for our Big Writing, we wrote about what we saw from a train window ensuring we expanded our sentences to make it more exciting for the reader.

The children did wax rubbings of leaves and tree trunks for our outdoor learning. They had a lot of fun. Some even did rubbings of the drain and were able to see the writing on their finished pictures.

Thank you for your support for the Book Fayre. I hope you were all able to order the books you wanted.

The children were very respectful during the minute silence at 11am today. They made a poppy to wear in class and made 2 poppy wreaths to have in the class.

I hope you enjoy your long weekend.
Miss Shearer
