Good afternoon everybody.
The weeks are really flying in now.

The children enjoyed a Judo taster session this week and they really enjoyed it. It was so nice to watch them having such good fun.

In Numeracy, we are continuing to work on place value and are counting on and back in 100's and 10's as well as looking at the number in between.

We continued with alphabetical order in our Workshop for Literacy. Some children are using the second and third letter to help them.

Wednesday was World Ocean Day and we looked at different videos and discussed what is happening to our oceans with the plastic waste. The children discussed that they might be the ones in the future who come up with ideas to make all our plastic recyclable so it doesn't end up in our oceans. We then looked at Sea Turtles and learned that they are in danger due to hunting, pollution, etc. The children wrote about the Sea Turtles in their Big Writing slot. I hope you enjoyed seeing their efforts on Seesaw.
For our Natural Connections we went out in the rain and wind!, cutting sections out of potatoes to use as a stamper. We then went back into school to cut out turtles and used the stampers to create the shells. The children are very happy with their results.

The pictures that the children drew for Father's day will be in the Courier on Tuesday 14th June. I hope you like them.

Have a really lovely weekend.
Miss Shearer
