The boys and girls have been working very hard on writing spooky stories about a haunted house this week. They had to include lots of interesting description to make them exciting. They certainly had me scared when I came to mark them! Descriptions included misty graveyards in the garden, sleeping vampires and creaking, rotten stairs.
The children then produced cut paper art work to go with their stories. They created their own haunted house pictures. Bats, full moons, graveyards and lightning were some of the ideas they used in their pictures.
In Maths, the children were finishing off Place Value skills. They looked at the value of each digit in a number, smallest and biggest number, ordering, estimating and rounding numbers to the nearest ten.
Can I remind everyone that the P3 Friday gym slot has been changed to a Wednesday. The children need their full kit including gym shoes. Could you please check that your child has everything they need. Thank you for your co-operation.
The Book Fayre is on next week. P3's slot will be on Tuesday from 11:10 until 11:30. The children have been sent home with a leaflet with information about this. They can browse and buy on the day or let you know what they want and money can be brought the next day.
