Primary Three have been working hard on their number work this week and their knowledge of larger numbers continues to grow.
Our book study this term is the 'Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark.' The children enjoyed the first chapter this week and wrote about their favourite part of the story so far. They also wrote stories about something that they had been scared or afraid of for their personal writing. The chldren also learned about nouns and looked for nouns in an extract from the book.
The class finished their wax resist art that they started last week. They created rainbows in the rain and I think they look really effective. I have included a picture of some of the finished pieces.
In P.E, the children were continuing to practise different kinds of jumping. They all made a super effort and we will begin to add different apparatus next week so the children can challenge themselves and create a sequence of movements and jumps.
