Good afternoon everyone.

The children started the week by participating in PE. They are still really enjoying improving their fitness through running and sprinting.

On Monday afternoon, Mrs Greig continued to focus on identifying different moods and what makes us feel that way.

In maths, the children were introduced to the 4 x table. They were taught the different strategies that they can use to find the answers to different 4 x table problems. The next step for all children would be to continue to practise the 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 times table at home to improve speed, accuracy and confidence.

For art this week the children had to create their own super hero character. We had a great discussion about what super powers they could have, what they would look like, what logo they would have and if they would have a side kick. Every child's picture was different and it was super to hear them enthusiastically describing a back story for their  character.

We then used the children's art to inspire our writing on Thursday. They wrote a character description for their super hero. Next week the children will get a chance to write an adventure story with their super hero as the main character.

Today was our Red Nose Day. The children had a chance to join in some fun activities as part of the day. They shared funny jokes, took part in a fun potato and spoon event, participated in a fun quiz and drew a picture of something/an event that made/makes them laugh. All great fun!

It has been a busy week and I am sure the children are going to enjoy their weekend relaxing with their families.

Have a lovely weekend.
