The weeks are flying by at the moment!
We have been busy looking at odd and even numbers in Numeracy and were able to look at the numbers on the doors on our Wellie Wednesday walk and recognised which numbers fitted into the two categories.
The children are really making good progress with their writing and are able to use sentence structure and are working on spelling common words and correct formation of letters.
We have been enjoying Yoga on Thursdays in the Gym hall and the children are finding it a very relaxing activity to do. They have also learned breathing excercises that they should be able to show at home!
Our science is looking at electricity (mains & battery) and the safe use of electricity in the home.
There is no Wellie Wednesday next week (25th September) so children will come to school in uniform. There will be the last one for this term on Wednesday the 2nd October which will take place in the school grounds. You are very welcome to join us and if you are available please let me know.
Wellie Wednesday will continue throughout Term 2 and our first session will be on 30th October. We can only do this activity if we get parental support. It can be done on a rota basis as I appreciate you are all very busy.
I'm looking forward to meeting you all on one of our Parent Contact sessions over the next 2 weeks.
Miss Shearer
