Good afternoon to you all
The children have settled back into all of our class routines now and are working hard at all learning tasks. We have completed our multiplication and division tasks for now and will be moving on to patterns and sequences next week. It would be good to keep practising x2, x5 and x10 at home to increase their speed and accuracy. We will keep working on this in school by giving mixed up tables and not always reciting in the same order.
The children enjoyed our outdoor P.E on Monday where we are working on developing our stamina. We were in the field for outdoor learning on Monday afternoon and the children were able to match a letter of the alphabet to something they could see. We got stuck on x but decided that an excavator was a near match!
Thank you for your support with sharing their reading books at home. It is great that the children can read to you from their ORT books again. Please return by Mondays as they are changed over on Monday afternoons and it is not easy to change a book when the folder has not been returned.
The children wrote a lovely story about living underwater. I am impressed with the variety of creatures they have chosen throughout the class. I will enjoy reading/marking them all at weekend.
The children have been busy at any free time they had through the week to make a variety of crafts/cards for mums or grannies. I am sure you will enjoy receiving them.
I wish you all a very happy Mothering Sunday. You deserve it.
Miss Shearer
