Good afternoon everybody
It has been a shorter week than normal but the children have still been very busy in school. We have been looking at presentation in our jotters in Numeracy to set out our column addition and subtraction correctly. Some of the children have used exchange with their addition.
The children are working on Key Comprehension and are progressing well with the skills required to set out the answers correctly as well as looking at inference or writer's craft.
In HWB, we are continuing or Healthy Bodies theme by looking at drugs and knowing safe/unsafe and the ones that can help us.
For our Outdoor Learning, we explored 2D shapes and chalked pictures using a varied amount of 2D shapes.
On Friday, we looked at words within words. This is such a good way to expand our spelling by looking at spelling 'families.' eg come, comes, coming
We used our maths skills to find out The Mystery of the Missing Football.
In the afternoon we enjoyed our personal reading time and finished the day off with Discovery Learning.
