Good afternoon everyone,

It has been a fun filled and busy penultimate week in P2/3.

We spent the week finishing off our money topic. The children have become quite proficient at counting amounts of money and choosing the correct coins to pay for chosen amounts.

The children shared their favourite highlights of p2/3 with Mrs Greig. The creative dance and outdoor learning were big hits.

The children were also lucky enough to be given the opportunity to watch the P7 show. The majority of children agreed that the acting and singing were first class.

On Wednesday the children got to take one final trip to the woods. The focus of this visit was entirely on play. The children had an absolute ball. It was lovely to see aspects of what had been learned through our project coming out in their play. Mrs Greig and I were also delighted to see that many children wanted to be filmed talking about their woodland creations. Some of these children would be too shy to present work within the classroom setting but oozed with confidence and enthusiasm when sharing information about something they obviously felt so passionate about.

We finished our trip out by having a lovely picnic in the school playground. We were so lucky to have such lovely weather and this was a super experience for the children.

On Thursday the children took home the majority of their school work. Some jotters are passed onto the next teacher so that she has a sample of each child's standard of work. I hope you enjoy looking through some of the work the children completed through the year.

We finished the week with some inflatable fun. The children had a really enjoyable time and will hopefully sleep well tonight. As a reward for all their bouncy efforts, the children were given a very tasty frozen treat. This was thoroughly enjoyed.

I cannot believe that there is less than one week to go before the holidays. Mrs Greig and I look forward to enjoying the last few days with the class next week.

Have a lovely weekend. Kind regards, Mrs Thomson and Mrs Greig.
