What a quick week it has been!
It has been lots of fun preparing for the Coronation Day tomorrow. We made bunting, flags, crowns and a lovely King Charles display. The children looked amazing today and we have fun celebrating such a big historical event. The weather is not what we wanted but we are so used to it in Scotland! It didn't dampen our fun though. We had a lovely cake and juice/water.

We are still working on o'clock and half past using digital and analogue clocks. It can be tricky but the children are doing well working between both ways of telling time.

We wrote imaginative stories about scarecrows. The children are really developing their use of conjunctions (joining words) in our writing tasks.

We are still focussing on our common words to ensure we are spelling a wider range of words correctly.

I have forwarded the sheep pictures for the RHET competition. The children really worked hard to produce lovely ideas. Fingers are crossed.

We are making scarecrows next Wednesday 10th May. If you are free Wednesday afternoon and would like to help it would be greatly appreciated.Let me know via Seesaw. I did put on Seesaw about handing in old clothing, hats, belts, plastic flowers, pillow cases, etc anything that would help us make lovely scarecrows. Thank you in advance. ( any articles we have left over will be recycled so nothing will go to waste)

We are going a walk to the woods on Wednesday 17th in the afternoon 1.20 - 3pm
We also have an all day walk to Duloch Woods Wednesday 24th  - 9am- 3pm
If you can with all or one of these please let me know via Seesaw. Thank you I know you have been so supportive with past events. We can't do trips and such special activities without you.

Thank you in advance.

Have a lovely Coronation weekend.
Miss Shearer
