Good afternoon everyone.

It's hard to believe that we are in February already!

We have been busy learning multiplication strategies this week. We are using the repeated addition method as well as equal sets. I have put examples of these on Seesaw for the children to try. We are also developing our counting in 2's, 5's and 10's  which helps with multiplication tables.

The children shared the ai sound with you this week on Seesaw. We will consolidate the a-e, ay and ai sounds next week.

Instead of going out for our Natural Connections on Wednesday, we made sand art pictures of wheat growing in the fields. They were a lot of fun to make and look amazing. We made lovely farm landscapes today using pattern and line which will add to our farm display wall

The children have consolidated their work on nouns and are able to say what a noun is. (the name of a person, place or thing)

The highlight of the week was without a doubt us going to The Fife Music Festival. The children were a real credit to Canmore by behaving perfectly and sitting beautifully through other school performances. Their singing was beyond my expectations. They brought tears to my eyes with their stunning performance. I was incredibly proud of them. If you weren't able to make it we will get a video to upload onto Seesaw sometime in the future. Please read the comments from the adjudicator on Seesaw.

The children have written a lovely recount of their visit by using who, what, where when, why as well as using I to make it personal to them.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Miss Shearer
