Good afternoon everybody.

We are continuing to develop our place value skills in numeracy as well as before/after and number formation.  The children are practising their number and letter formation, making sure they start at the correct place.

We read the poem My House by Moira Andrew and used her sentence starter words to draw our own homes. (under, above, below, etc.)

We have revised our phonics to ensuring we are ready to blend with other sounds.

For Outdoor P.E, we practised ball skills and indoors we took part in a Yoga session. The children were very good at following the instructions to ensure they benefited from the Yoga lesson.

This weeks drawing Club book was Superworm. It was so nice to read about the wonderful things he did to help his friends. The children then thought about what other superpower could Superworm have. They wrote about this new power. (They were very excited that Superworm came to visit them during our outdoor learning session!)

It was exciting to be outside for our outdoor learning and see the fly-over on Wednesday afternoon. The jets flew by very quickly.

The children have made lolly stick houses for art today that will be displayed on a wall in our classroom.

I hope you are able to make the Meet the Teacher afternoon next Friday at 2.30pm as the children are very excited to show you their classroom area. The PTA event will begin at 3pm.

Hopefully see you then!
Miss Shearer
