What a busy week in Primary 2! World Book Day was very exciting. We got to discuss our favourite stories and completed Venn diagrams to show which characters we liked in some of our favourite stories.
In Literacy, we have been working on writing true and false statements from our class novel, Knight in Training. We read a bit of the story together and then read some statements, deciding if they were true or not. In Phonics, we looked at the sound pattern 'ow'. Fred the frog came to help us with this. Fred can only talk in sounds so he needed all of our help to say the words.
We continued our work on o’clock and half past with digital clocks. We did a time hunt round the class. Some of the clocks were very tricky to find!
In our STEM work, our challenge was to design and make castles. Each of the group had a role which allowed us to be successful in building some amazing castles.
We finished the week with outdoor learning in the field. It was incredibly muddy but we had fun. Mrs Taylor brought the litter pickers so the field is looking much tidier than when we arrived. The class also showed great teamwork in building a treehouse along with other  collaborative tasks.
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.
