Good afternoon,
Where are the weeks going!?!

It has been so nice to meet so many of you during parent contact and I look forward to meeting with the rest of you on Monday.

We have completed our multiplication/division targets and are working on 2D/3D shape this week. We are exploring the properties of shapes so that we can describe them by their sides, faces and vertices.

We have had our last run through of our show and are very excited to do the dress rehearsal on Monday and then to perform for you on Thursday. We look forward to seeing you at 2pm.

The highlight of our week was without doubt our trip to Balgownie Mains Farm. We were very lucky with the weather and it was so good to see the children's happy faces as they got to see the cows/calves, Highland cattle with baby Robyn being born in December,  hens, pygmy goats and pigs. The children all got to have a sit in Farmer Jamie's tractor and Farmer Maggie was just so nice. The children were an absolute credit to Canmore. They behaved so well and listened to all instructions. I am one very proud teacher! I have lots of photos to upload and will do so asap.

The children wrote a very good personal recount of their trip to the farm I will try to get them uploaded for you to see.

We ended the week with a Red Nose fun day. It was great fun listening to the children's favourite jokes as part of the School Joke Competition and I did enjoy the silly outfits.  Thank you to Mrs Heggie and P5 for organising this for us all to enjoy.

Wishing all mums a wonderful Mother’s Day on Sunday.
Miss Shearer
