Good afternoon everybody.

The children have continued to work on numbers before/after, in between and more than, less than and are gaining in confidence with their place value to 20. We are continuing to count verbally in 1's, 5's and 10's.

We have practised our letter formation with d. I have added a handwriting practise sheet for homework to show where letters start and finish. Please start with c,o,a,d as they all start with the c formation. We are doing the g and q over the next 2 weeks.

Thankfully Wednesday was a lovely afternoon weather wise so we were able to paint our patterns on the tress. They look so bright and cheerful. We added eco friendly glitter to add some sparkle.

Drawing Club used the Chicken Licken story this week and The children drew Foxy Loxy in our first lesson and described him in our written task. In our second lesson, they thought about friends for Foxy Loxy who could help him catch Chicken Licken.

For our Phonics this week we looked at the st, sw and tw words. We will continue to look at blends to help with our spelling.

The children have brought home toothbrushes/toothpaste today. We have explored dental hygiene and looked at why it is so important to look after our teeth.

It was great fun taking part in the Jeans for Genes event today organised by the P4's. We have designed a pair of jeans and walked 6,000 steps around the playground.

It was really nice to meet the parents that had their parents evening on Wednesday. I look forward to seeing the rest of you next Tuesday or Thursday.

Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Shearer
