Good afternoon everybody.

It is hard to believe that term 1 has finished! It has really flown by.

We have been working on odd and even numbers this week and the children have really grasped that it is the last digit that decides if the number is odd/even. We used millions and thousands to test this and the children were amazing at listening for the last number.

We looked at prediction and after me reading half of a story the children had to think what would happen next. They came up with some very good ideas.

The children have learned lots about penguins during our fact finding session. They listened well to a film clip and then wrote about their favourite facts.

In Drawing Club this week I read the lovely Penguin by Polly Dunbar. The children drew the lion but added their own ideas to create their own character and then decided on a feast that the lion could have instead of eating the boy! They came up with really creative ideas.

I hope you all have lovely holidays and look forward to seeing all the children for Term 2.
