Good afternoon,

There has been lots of excitement in Primary 1b this week as we added the finishing touches to our ‘Winter Wreath Card Holders’ for the Canmore Virtual Christmas Fayre.  Miss Yorkston has been very impressed by our hard work over the last two weeks, painting, glittering, and sticking all the elements together and is proud of our fabulous creations. We hope you like them too!
As part of our Digital Literacy Curriculum, we each created a video advert of our product, which have been shared on Seesaw. Before filming we discussed what an advert is? Why the are used and where we see adverts, and after watching a few examples of adverts for different well-known businesses and companies we discussed how we should create our own. We hope that our advert has persuaded you to buy our Christmas Fayre Craft.

In Nativity news, after weeks of practising our acting and dancing parts, we are extremely excited to finally be getting to put on our costumes and perform our Dress Rehearsal next week. Miss Yorkston and Mrs Davie have kindly asked Mr Morgan and a few P7 pupils if they would film our performance and create a video production of the show. We cannot wait to share our performance with you virtually, however if you just can’t wait then Miss Yorkston has shared a few sneak peak photos of our practises on Seesaw.  Also, if you haven’t already done so, please ensure your child brings a pair of black gym shoes (not trainers) to school to wear whilst on stage.

Finally, it was lovely to see the children wearing their festive jumpers for ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ today, it really brought a festive mood to the classroom.

Wishing you all a lovely, festive weekend.
Miss Yorkston and P1b
