Good afternoon,
Once again a basket of clues arrived in Primary 1. Correctly we guessed that the theme for the week was based on the fairytale 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff.' We enjoyed working collaboratively with a P1a partner to create another way for the goats to cross the river. We tested a collection of submarines, bridges and boats in our cleverly disguised water tray.
In Maths, we have been learning to recognise symmetry. The outdoors provided a rich, motivating environment in which to recognise symmetry and share our findings with each other.
In Health and Wellbeing, we recapped what we already knew about keeping our bodies healthy and increased our knowledge about a healthy diet by making delicious smoothies. This also provided an excellent context to learn about halving and quartering amounts.
