Good afternoon,
We have had a wonderful first term in Primary 1. The children are all following the class routines happily and are growing in confidence day by day. The children are loving their learning experiences and this week was as jam packed as always.
We started off this week with a treasure hunt , a really fun context in which to begin learning about following and giving directions. Most of the class are able to use prepositions accurately but would benefit from extra support at home in using `left' and `right' correctly.
In Literacy, we continued to work on the skills of listening and concentrating. We learned that if we were unsure of what to do, we should look to others for clues or ask a friend or teacher for help.
In Health and Wellbeing, we learned that being active is a healthy way to be and we discussed how we can stay active during the October break.
