Good afternoon,
Once again a basket of clues arrived in Primary 1. Correctly, we guessed that our topic of the week was based on the fairy tale, The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. We enjoyed working collaboratively with our P1b partners to create another method for the goats to cross the river. We tested a very impressive collection of boats, submarines and bridges in our cleverly disguised water tray!
In Maths, we have been learning about symmetry. The outdoors provided a rich, motivating environment in which to recognise symmetry and share our findings with each other.
In Health and Wellbeing, we consolidated what we already knew about keeping our bodies healthy and showed what we knew about a healthy diet by making delicious fruit smoothies. This also provided a meaningful context to learn about halving and quartering amounts.
