Good afternoon,
Wow! What a busy week full of learning highlights.
The first highlight came on Tuesday with the discovery of another basket delivery from our friend, ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. Inside the basket there were some silver bells, cockle shells, 3 pretty maids and a letter from Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary asking us to help her; by planting some beautiful flowers for her garden.  In Science, we learned that just like us, plants need certain things in order to grow and be healthy. We learned that plants need water, the right temperature and sunlight. We also learned to name the basic parts of a plant and their functions.
On Wednesday, we planted sunflower seeds and are looking forward to taking them home once the plant has started growing and is strong enough to do so.
Our second highlight of the week was our P1-P3 Sports Day. We participated in teams in a potted sports and also competed in races.
The potted sports events included a beat the goalie activity, a fast feet section, the hurdles, a basketball shoot out, a coconut shy station and a bunny hop section.
We then competed in a potato and spoon race. Great fun was had by all! Please see Seesaw for some example videos of our potted sports fun.

Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Yorkston and P1/2
