Good afternoon everyone,

I want to start by saying what a pleasure it was to take part in Sports Day with all the boys and girls from P1/2. They conducted themselves in a fantastic manner. They listened well and were such good sports. It made the day so much fun for everyone. I do hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Thanks to those parents or grandparents who were able to make it along.

On Thursday we made Goodbye and Good Luck cards for Mrs Louden. She has been training to be a PSA and has been working in the class every Friday since October. She has been a fantastic help and support within class. The children are very fond of her and it will be sad to see her go.

This week we have been learning all about 3D shape. We have learned to discriminate between each shape, name them and  discuss their properties. Please see Seesaw for some pictures of the activities the children have participated in.

In Colourful Semantics this week, the children were introduced to the brown why word 'because.' We started the session by making up reasons why we couldn't hand in our homework. Some homework was eaten by the dog while others fell in the swimming pool! The children then had to create a whole sentence using the Semantics sentence strip. They had a picture to help them make the sentence.

For Project this week, the children were learning all about life cyles. Ask them what they found out.

Have a lovely sunny weekend. Kind regards, Mrs Thomson and Mrs Greig.
