Good afternoon,
Our highlight this week was helping Mr Hepburn, our school janitor, pick up litter from our school grounds. We love our time outdoors in our beautiful field and wooded areas and we were sad to see it not looking its best. Once it was cleaned up, we spent the rest of the afternoon playing in it.
The next morning we decided to encourage the rest of the school to put their litter in the bins. We created posters and displayed them around the school.
Later we read a story about recycling and discovered that not all litter should go into the waste bin. We
learned about all of the different sorts of things that can be recycled and we are going to try hard to use our paper bin and composter when disposing of paper and fruit peel and cores.
