Good afternoon,

Firstly we would like to say a big thank you to Ms Rowan, Mr Lyall and Mrs Lees for volunteering to come into our classes and talk to us about their jobs as a Dental nurse, Pilot and Logistics warehouse manager. Your talks were very informative and have given us lots to think about for the future.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind our parents that if anyone else would like to visit and talk to us about their job, we would be delighted to invite you in, as we are really interested in finding out about all the different jobs available.

Our focus in Literacy this week has been on ‘Hearing the sound at the beginning of words.’  We have been playing lots of ‘I spy with my little eye something beginning with…’ games to support us in our learning and we are now becoming more confident in hearing some sounds.

In Maths this week, we have been learning to recognise, copy and complete patterns.  We used the thinking strategy ‘See, Think, Wonder’ to help us spot patterns in Nature.

We are looking forward to the next two weeks, when our parents will be meeting with our teacher to discuss our learning in P1 so far.

Lastly could we ask that if your child has not returned their homework bags to school, to do so as soon as possible. Thank you.

We hope you have a lovely weekend!
