This week we welcomed everyone back from their Easter holidays with a focus on Positive Mindsets. Our Social Target this week was 'I can return to school with a Positive Mindset'. Well done to everyone for your excellent efforts and our achievers Skylar Rennie, Sorcha Cowan, Amy Inglis, Naia Meach, Caleb Sorial and Ruaridh Millar.
We also looked at some clips and a story about Teamwork and how we can achieve so much more when we work together.
We were very grateful that a parent contacted the school to let us know about a child who was not being safe at the end of the day particularly when we have lots of traffic around. This prompted a discussion with the children about road safety and some role play of how to keep safe.
Could we ask all parents to remind children about safe places to cross and staying beside an adult when near a busy road.
Our Social Target next week is 'I can look after my school environment demonstrating responsibility and respect'. This is in line with World Earth Day which is on Thursday 22nd April. We will be switching off our lights for one hour on this day along with many places around the world.
