Our Reconnector today focused on Advent and what it means for us and for everyone around the world. We learned that in China, people make paper lanterns to celebrate, In Germany, children put their shoes outside for St.Nicholas to fill with sweets and gifts on 6th December and in Mexico, they have a 9 day celebration ending with the Nativity and an enormous pinata for children to share!
We were very excited to hear about the angels that have been knitted for all of the children and staff here at Canmore by the friends of St.Leonard's Church. Monika, our school Minister from St.Leonard's shared a Christmas video message with us too.
Our Social Target this week was 'I can show our school values' so congratulations go to our Social Target Achievers, Aiza Iqbal, Millie Wood, Freya Husband, Kornel Kowalski and Esmee Haggett.
Our target will remain the same for next week as we know how important it is to show Respect, Responsibility and Resilience at this time of year.
