Good Morning Canmore Primary School.
From all school staff 'Welcome to Term Four!'
I hope you are feeling excited to start the new term and engage with some new learning experiences.
It will continue to feel a little different with us all staying at home and not physically attending school. However, despite it being different, we still very much remain together and remain connected. All class teachers will continue to engage with you daily as they did before the Easter break. Learning tasks will be set yet it is important that you continue to do some of your favourite things and enjoy the brighter weather we are forecast to have.
As we start a new week at Canmore we always set a new social target to encourage us to make positive choices, motivate us and help us focus upon our key school values. Our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience are certainly what our world needs at the moment together with an abundance of kindness. Therefore our social target for this week is 'I can show kindness to others'. This might include creating your own act of kindness, giving someone a compliment or perhaps volunteering to do a chore that isn't yours! The grown ups will be especially delighted with this! We would love to hear of any exceptional efforts.
Kindness is a quality I know many Canmore pupils have and demonstrate regularly.Logan Miller in his recent efforts to support the NHS with his wonderful artwork as an example. Well done again Logan!
I know lots of you have enjoyed seeing, waving to and encouraging local superheroes. Another example of kindness, thinking of others and making us smile. I am led to believe we may know one superhero very well and wish Pitcorthie Robin a speedy recovery following a recent accident!
Well done and thank you to those pupils who have participated so far in our Easter Art competition-there is still time to get involved with all artwork to be completed and forwarded via email to either Mrs McIntosh or I by Thursday 23rd April. Laura.Howie@fife.gov.uk and/or Kate.McIntosh@fife.gov.uk
For some of our children time has been spent at the Family Community Activity Centre. I am delighted to hear that you have enjoyed making new friends and have had lots of fun. We also continue to be very grateful and proud of your parents and the superb job they are doing in their key worker roles.
We will continue with our weekly assemblies (I promise the virtual version will be much shorter!) to allow us to continue to connect, highlight and celebrate the wonderful efforts of all in our school community.
'Stay safe, stay well, stay connected and stay smiling!'
With love and best wishes,
Mrs Howie
