Good Morning to our pupils, parents and families of Canmore. Today marks the end of our first week of Term Four. I hope that while this week has continued to feel a little bit different you have been motivated by the interactions with your class teachers and the suggested learning tasks set. I have certainly benefited from the regular communication from lots of members of our school community and have been delighted to see and hear what you have been getting up to. All entries for our Easter art competition have been superb and it was such a difficult job deciding just two winners! Very well done to everyone who participated within this. Our winners will be announced at assembly shortly. Please continue to keep in touch! Class teachers have also been thrilled with all efforts being made. I have shared the fantastic and powerful illustration created by Lauren Park, P6, who recently contributed to a UN/WHO competition.I am sure you will agree with me that Lauren is especially talented!
While our assembly, which will be posted later this morning, allows us to celebrate the efforts and achievements of our children I feel it is important to highlight the achievements of our parents. You have done an incredible job motivating our children, continuing to support our school while juggling the demands of life at this unusual time. As a community of learning we wish our children to continue to progress and thrive. However, not to the detriment of the positive wellbeing of all at home.Do what you can, when you can, if you can! Please continue to email either Mrs McIntosh or I should you have any questions or concerns. If you felt it more helpful to have a telephone discussion then this can easily be arranged.
Planning of typical Term Four activities continues and we will ensure these experiences will be offered albeit in a different way. Further information will follow.
A key focus of this term is transition and planning ahead for the new school session. Please be assured that lots of creative planning is taking place to ensure that our children are supported positively through all transition.Further information will follow.
I have communicated with various year groups throughout this week and will continue to do so but would like to thank those parents who have undertaken additional tasks to support our community. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!
I am sure you have all been enjoying the recent fantastic weather on offer and are thrilled to know that it is to stay over the next few days.
Wishing everyone a restful and relaxing weekend!
Stay safe, stay smiling, stay happy!
With love and best wishes,
Mrs Howie
