Good Afternoon,
Our Easter break is now upon us. As we reflect on the past few weeks we should do so with tremendous pride. As a community of responsibility, resilience and respect all parents, pupils and staff have demonstrated our core school values in the ways in which we have adapted to and tackled recent challenges and circumstances.
To our parents, I thank you for your on-going support to our school and your commitment to ensuring your child's wellbeing and learning despite juggling your the demands of your own work. You are doing a fantastic job!Thank you to those parents who took the time to complete our recent home learning survey. Your feedback is important and allows us to plan our approaches moving forward and ensuring we get it right for all of our children and families. The results will be shared with you accordingly.
A number of our parents are frontline keyworkers and carers and we cannot thank you enough for your courage and efforts. You were certainly in my thoughts during the collective applause last night!
To our pupils, your class teachers, support staff, Mrs McIntosh and I continue to miss you greatly. Yet we are comforted knowing that you are safe and well with your families. I, personally, have been thrilled to see some familiar faces when I have been out locally on my daily walk. Seeing your videos and photos via Seesaw has certainly brightened up our days also.
To our school staff who have continued to work extremely hard behind the scenes while pulling together to support the overall Canmore team effort. How lucky we are to have you all!
As a school we are greatly committed to our children and families.Staff will be supporting the childcare provisions for keyworkers over the next few weeks and Mrs McIntosh and I remain available to offer any support we can so please do not hesitate to email Laura.Howie@fife.gov.uk and/or KateMcIntosh@fife.gov.uk
I will be in touch towards the end of the holidays to share with you key information for the new term but at this time urge everyone to switch off, relax and enjoy a slow paced few weeks. Be kind to yourself, enjoy lots of Easter family fun, Easter treats and any sunshine we may get from your garden.
From myself and a few familiar faces you may spot from our photo 'Happy Easter to our children, families and friends of Canmore.Stay safe, stay well, stay connected and stay smiling!'
With love and best wishes,
Laura Howie
