It has been another busy term in Primary 1 where we undertook numerous wider achievement opportunities.

In January we enjoyed listening to Scottish poetry and all successfully learned the poem entitled ‘Robin Robin Reidbriest’ by Jk Annand.

Also in January we proudly represented our school on stage at the Carnegie Hall.   We confidently performed 4 Scottish songs in the Fife Festival of Music

Towards the end of January and February we welcomed you all to our ‘sharing the learning’ events where we taught you some of the games and activities we use to learn addition in maths and common word recognition in literacy. We hope you are now enjoying playing variations of these at home together.

Also in February we had the opportunity to experience Judo with Destination Judo.

In March we celebrated the world of books through ‘World Book Day’. Everybody was able to talk about their favourite book, inspiring future bedtime stories. We hope you all had fun spending your ‘World Book Day’ book Token.

‘Red nose Day’ proved to be a fantastic fundraiser raising over £1000 for charity.  The splat the teacher event was especially popular with all children!

We ended the term in spectacular fashion with a showcase celebrating the talent and learning of each of class.

Wishing you all a very happy Easter and we are looking forward to see you all next term!
