What a busy week we have enjoyed! What a brillant end of term! Well done to Earth the winning house and what a lovely treat they enjoyed this afternoon. It was also very exciting to be involved in the MacMillan fun day on Thursday to raise money for this worthy cause.

We have enjoyed being outside playing some games to do with coordinates this week, our new class favourite is connect four coordinates (ask me about this at home!) In mental maths, we have been doing a daily 10 challenge which the children can access and practice at home through Top Marks.

This week we have also enjoyed comparing life in the rainforest to life in Scotland. Lots of children loved the idea of being outside climbing trees and looking at the different animals/plants as part of their education in the rainforest but most children agreed that they thought the Scottish Education system suited them better!

In writing, we applied our understanding of writing settings and character descriptions to complete a final imaginative piece! What super star writers we have become in such a short time! Miss Graham is very proud of everyone and their efforts and motivation in writing this week!

As we finish up for the October break, may I wish you all a relaxing fortnight and I look forward to seeing you all back for another super term!

Miss Graham
